BLOOMINGTON - Anne M. Craig McEldowney, 72, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Merna, Bloomington, with Rev. Dustin Schultz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family.

Anne was born on May 15, 1953, in Bloomington, the daughter of John R. and Bernadette (Brady) Craig. She married Brian L. McEldowney on January 2, 1982, in Bloomington.
She is survived by her husband Brian, Bloomington; a son Jonathan (Kathy) McEldowney; a daughter, Mary McEldowney, Bloomington; three grandchildren, Steven, Teddy and Esme; one sister, Elizabeth Fulton, Bloomington, two brothers, Daniel Craig, Bloomington, and Phillip Craig, Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael Craig and William Brady.
Anne was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Eureka College and received her master's degree from the University of Illinois. She was a social worker at Central Catholic High School for many years.
Anne attended St. Patrick Catholic Church of Merna and was an associate of the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, Joliet. Anne was spiritual, cheerful, optimistic and committed to her family and friends. To express condolences online, please visit www.carmodyflynn.com.
