Beverly "Bev" (Phinney) King

Beverly "Bev" (Phinney) King, of Lexington, Ill., passed away March 14th, 2025, at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal, Ill.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, at Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home in Lexington, Ill., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Per Bev's wishes, she will enter eternal rest through cremation following the visitation. Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.

Bev was born July 6, 1961, in Bloomington, Ill., the daughter of Chester E. and Kathleen M. Phinney.

Like all of Chet and Kathy's children, she worked at the family restaurant, Kathy's Kitchen. She was formerly employed at Kmart in Bloomington; the manager at Phillips 66 in Chenoa, and bartended at local establishments. Bev loved "The King", Elvis, and had many items related to her love of him and his music. She was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and on the pool team. Bev's biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and had a great love of family. All that knew her, appreciated her sense of humor and she did not hold back by letting you know what she thought on any given subject.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Melissa; grandchildren: Ceanna, Dalton and Xavier; great-grandchild, Hudson; many nieces and nephews; siblings: Helen White of Maysville, Iowa, Kathy Shubert and Walt Phinney, Lexington, Ill., Ed Phinney, Normal, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randy; sisters, Aldean and Mary.
