BLOOMINGTON - Cecil R. Miller, 88, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at his home.

His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington, with Rev. David McBurney officiating. Military rites will be accorded after the service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Cecil was born on August 26, 1937, in Lincoln, the son of Raymond H. and Louise L. (Struebing) Miller. He married Wanda Standley on November 25, 1979, in Malden. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Doug (Michelle) Miller, Normal, Darrin Miller, Algonquin and Kathy Lilley, Park Forest; five grandchildren, Brent (Amy) Miller, Jackson Miller, Nicole (Nick) Rutka, Hanna Miller and Noah Miller; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte Miller, Samuel Cecil Miller, Margaret Miller and Christopher Rutka; and his God daughter, Leann Knollenberg, Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cecil graduated from Delavan High School and served in the Army National Guard. Cecil was plant manager of Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Morton and Woodhull, retiring after 43 years with the company.

Cecil was a St. Louis Cardinal and Green Bay Packer fan. He was a 25 year Cardinals spring season ticket holder in Jupiter, Florida. He enjoyed the outdoors and wintering in Florida with Wanda. They loved to travel and especially enjoyed attending their grandchildren's activities.
