Ed was a great guy and treated me well the hole time we worked together at Canteen. He hired me within hours of Union Camp closing. Respect for Ed? Hell yes.

It is with my deepest sympathy for the passing of Ed. He was a very good friend of my dad's, of me and our family. Dad at times would have Ed watch the store (HOBBYLAND) when Dad couldn't be there. Also my sister and I would call him when dad was out of town and someone broke the store window. He was no stranger to the store, it all started back when the store was at 1112 N Main St where my grandparents lived. Then later in life the lumber company I worked for closed he put me to work at CANTEEN, I painted the warehouse wall, office and then I delivered for him to Pontiac and Dwight taking vending food for at least 2 yrs or so , 3 times a week. I had not seen Ed for years. Then one day at Heritage Nursing home and Rehabilitation center. I saw Ed and got his son to wheel Ed down to my Dad's room to visit. It was so amazing to see Ed again after a long time. We had a great visit in June 2023. Today 11-19-23 checking the obits. NOOOOOOOOOOO !!! It can't be but it was. I have so many great memories of ED, I will never forget. The hearts of the Murray family goes out to Ed's family. He was very much apart of HOBBYLAND. GOD BLESS!
