He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Stewart, and sister, Connie Graning.

Ron is a graduate of U-High and ISU with a bachelor's degree in biology. After graduating he decided to pursue a career at State Farm Insurance in the Service & Systems department where he happily retired in 1999 after 38 years.

He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved playing tennis and was a long time member of the Racquet Club . He loved taking his grandchildren to State Farm Park to swim, play shuffleboard and mini-golf. Ron enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and the regular Sunday night Scrabble games.

Most of all, he enjoyed his family. He loved seeing everyone and beamed with pride and joy when he talked about his family.
