ROANOKE - Harriette "Sally" Blunier, 97, of Roanoke, IL, passed away at 7:38 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
She was born on December 21, 1926, in East St. Louis, IL, a daughter of Roy and Lydia Eilerman Pinkerton. She married Harlow Blunier on October 6, 1946, in Chester, IL. He passed away on February 25, 2005.
Survivors include two sons: Larry (Gayle) Blunier of Wadesville, IN, Steve (Wendy) Blunier of Roanoke; one daughter, Susan (Alan) Haas of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one step-brother, Delbert Magers; and one step-sister, Mildred Moore.
Growing up a city girl in the scenic hills of southern Illinois in Chester, Sally made her way north where she fell in love with Harlow and also learned to love the prairie where they farmed and raised their family.
She was a member of the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and also from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. on Thursday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is handling arrangements for the family.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.knappjohnsonharris.com.
