Kimberly C. Pillischafske
October 5, 1976 - June 4, 2024
Kimberly (Kimmie) Colleen Deck Pillischafske, born October 5, 1976, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024, after a three-and-a-half-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She fought so bravely and courageously, fortified by her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Kimmie leaves behind her husband, Eric Pillischafske; children: Austin, Alex and Adam; brother, Brian (Liza) Deck, Jason (Sherry) Birkenbeil; and sister, Michelle (Bruce) Brucker; dad, Jerry Birkenbeil; mother-in-law, Kim Pillischafske; and father-in-law, Keith Pillischafske; sisters-in-law: Kelly (Troy) Schaudt and Christine (Jake) Collins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who felt like family. She was preceded in death by her father, James "Jimmy" Deck; and mother, Sharon (Johnson) Birkenbeil.
Kimmie was a dental hygienist for 27 years working for Anderson Dental for 18 years. She loved her job, coworkers, and patients like family. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, sitting on a beach, going to sports events and concerts but what she loved most was being with family and friends. She had the ability to light up a room with her smile and beautiful bright blue eyes. Her faith was foundational to all she was.
We will celebrate her with a visitation from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, and celebration of life on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. both at Windsor Road Christian Church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made for a dental hygiene scholarship fund in her honor.
Gifts can be made by check to Parkland College Foundation, c/o Kimmie Pillischafske Dental Hygiene Scholarship.

Sincere condolences to Eric and family and to Keith and Kim. Pillischafske's are good people, tough when called upon to be so and close and loving within their circle. Godspeed to all.

My deepest sympathy to Kim´s family. I grew up in the Chatsworth area, worked with Kim as a lifeguard at CAPS pool, played basketball ball together at Prairie Central, she would give me rides home from practice before I had my Drivers license. I feel very blessed to have these memories of her, may you all hold tight to the good memories that keep her alive in your lives. Praying for all of you ! T. Anne ( Rudin) Wiegand

I knew Kim as a patient at my job. She was one of the kindest women I have ever meet. She did literally light up the room, even when she was not physically at her best. As a Christian I prayed the Lord would bring her healing here. He choose a different path and although I am very sad, I know she is with her Lord. I will continue to pray for her precious family and friends as they mourn and grieve her loss.

May God bless Kim´s family. I´m so sorry to hear she lost her battle. Kim was a sweet person and tho I haven´t spoke or seen her in years it makes me sad to hear she has passed, but thankful she is at peace at last. May peace also be with Brian, Jerry, and all in the coming days.
