October 22, 1959 - January 28, 2025
Kurt Christopher, 65 of Normal, passed away Thursday January 28, 2025, surrounded by family and the love of his life Karyn Schellenger.
Kurt was born in Bloomington October 22, 1959, to James "Nate" and Helen Brown.
He attended Bloomington area public schools. Working since 16 years of age, Kurt retired in October 2024 as purchasing agent in the manufacturing industry.
Kurt was an avid sports fan, particularly for the Colts and Cardinals. His love of sports took him to many baseball and football games. He loved live music and attended many concerts with beloved Karyn. He was a passionate birder, gardener and animal lover. Much of Kurt's time was spent with his family and friends.
Kurt was kind, generous and always willing to help someone in need. He was an incredibly gifted handyman, there was nothing Kurt couldn't fix.
Previously deceased by his parents and beloved nephew Isaac Nathan. He is survived by Karyn and siblings, Mary, Patty, Jimmy, Bobby and Barbara and many nieces and nephews and their loving families.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Kurt Brown to: Brunswick Animal Hospital, 401 N Kays Dr, Normal, IL 61761.
