NORMAL - Linda Sue (Snider) Weaver, 77, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Normal, IL.
Born on November 15, 1946, in Carlisle, AR, Linda was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother known for her welcoming nature and exceptional conversational skills. Linda's career in the construction industry was marked by her visionary leadership. She played a pivotal role in the construction and management of numerous facilities across Illinois, demonstrating her expertise and dedication to the field.
Outside of her professional life, Linda had a passion for gardening, sewing, and dancing. These hobbies brought her immense joy and allowed her creative spirit to flourish.
Linda is survived by her daughters: Laura Pagan (Edward) and Leslie Darnall (Andrew); grandchildren: Jake, Jenna, Caitlin, Zachary, Jasper, and Dalilah; great-grandchild, Mason; brothers: Troy, Wayne, and Danny Snider; and sister, Marie McGaughey (Gary). She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Weaver, and her parents, Alta and Loyd Snider.
Services will be held on August 17, 2024, at Calvert Metzler, located at 1115 East Washington Street, Bloomington, IL 61701. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with services immediately following. Additional services will be held in Arkansas at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda's memory. Linda's legacy of kindness, leadership, and community involvement will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
