Mark Edward Cremeens
Oct. 18, 1966 - Jan. 12, 2024
Mark Edward Cremeens, age 57, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Mark was born on October 18, 1966, in Peoria, IL, to Donald J. and Jean E. (Barth) Cremeens.
Mark graduated from Metamora Township High School and pursued a career in the trades. He continued as a Carpenter for 39 years and was a part of the Union Carpenter Local 237.
Mark is survived by his son, Briar Cremeens; his parents, Donald and Jean Cremeens; sistes: Dawn (Cremeens), and Michael Brockhouse; his nieces and nephew: Jordyn (Brockhouse) and Brent Lewandowski, Morgan Brockhouse and Adam Cox, Jaiden Emmie Brockhouse, Reid Brockhouse and Erynn Kell; and a great-niece, Andalyn Lewandowski.
Mark could always be found supporting his son, Briar, whether it be in the basketball gym, baseball field, or on the river fishing and hunting. Mark loved the outdoors as he was a passionate duck hunter and was dedicated to training his hunting dogs. Mark was not a stranger to many, and his passion, drive, and positivity for life touched many lives.
Mark was strong willed, loyal, and most definitely stubborn, which served him well as he fought his battle with cancer to the very end. Everyone has their own favorite memories of Mark, but what is most certain, Mark lived his life to the fullest, and the way he wanted.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to honor Mark at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Metamora Township High School, 101 West Madison Street, Metamora, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Briar Cremeens' Education Fund, c/o Commerce Bank, 1 South Englewood Drive, Metamora, IL, 61548; or any other Commerce Bank branch or to OSF Cancer Institute, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL, 61603.
