Maryann Thompson Obituary
BLOOMINGTON - Maryann Thompson, 83, of Bloomington, IL went to see her "Maker" on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Her visitation will be held at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A private service for family and close friends will follow.
Maryann married Charles on April 25, 1959, and together they raised two sons, Tony and Larry, in Bloomington. She worked at Federal Allied in Peoria for 10 years; Johnson Transfer for 20 years, served as a bookkeeper for several local businesses, and later retired from State Farm after 10 years of service.
She was a longtime member of the Eagles Club. She enjoyed playing cards with friends who became like sisters. She was also a proud member of TOPS for more than 50 years, serving faithfully as treasurer.
Maryann is survived by her two sons Tony (Mary) of Carlock and Larry of Bloomington; brother Don (Renate) of Manito; sister Carol Buhl of North Pekin; grandchildren Brad (Kelli), Lindsey, Krista (Kayla), Tyler, and Blake; great-grandchildren Brek, Brady, Kenzy, Brooklynn, Morgan, Maya, Kassity, Wyatt, and Nevaeh. Also surviving is Maryann's beloved sister-in-law Leona Oller of Centralia, IL.
She was preceded by death by her parents; husband Charles; daughter Barbra Ann; son Danny Ray; brother Lloyd; granddaughter Tara Ann; and her beloved aunt and uncle, A.T and Martha.
Maryann will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her kindness, and love for her family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Carle Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eagles No. 527.
