Nancy Eichelberger Obituary
December 22, 1935 - December 9, 2025
EL PASO - Nancy Lee Eichelberger, 89, of El Paso, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.
Her funeral services will be on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in El Paso with Rev. Jonathan Boehne officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, El Paso, the El Paso Public Library, or to Special Olympics of Illinois.
Nancy was born in Decatur on December 22, 1935, a daughter to Melvin and Mary (Perry) Williams. She married Robert Eichelberger in Decatur on March 29, 1959. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Gary (Jolene) Eichelberger, Normal, Karen Eichelberger, Normal; two grandchildren, Austin (Nicole) Eichelberger and Dylan Eichelberger, Normal; brother, Steve (Kathy) Williams, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; brother-in-law, Gordon (Claire) Eichelberger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Doug Williams.
Nancy graduated from Decatur High School and Brokaw School of Nursing. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in El Paso for many years where she was devoted to her faith deeply. She was a member of the El Paso Golf Club where she was active in the women's golf league. She also enjoyed bowling. She was a nurse and worked for Heritage Health Care in El Paso for over 30 years. She was also a machine knitter and enjoyed quilting.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to OSF Hospice and to the nursing staff and doctors at McLean County Nursing Home for all of the amazing care given to Nancy.
