BLOOMINGTON, IL - Patricia A. (Pat) Sipes, 87, passed away on November 20, 2025, at The Arc at El Paso in El Paso, IL.
Pat was born on April 18, 1938, in El Paso, IL, the daughter of Carrol and Frances (Feeney) Weber. She married Loren Sipes on December 30, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1987.
Surviving Pat are her children, LeeAnn (Ken) McGinnis and Brad (Sharon) Sipes, all of Bloomington, IL; five grandchildren: Cassie McGinnis, Justin, Brandon (Meg), Amanda, and Cameron Sipes; and one great-granddaughter on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
After raising her children, Pat worked at Roland's Department Store in Bloomington for a few years. She then worked at State Farm in Bloomington for over 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Women's Club of Bloomington-Normal. Pat enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, gardening, crafting, and ISU basketball. But above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially spoiling the grandchildren.
Funeral services for Pat will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Calvert Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Traig Whittaker officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time of 1:00 PM at Calvert Metzler Memorial Home. Burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens will follow the service. Memorials may be made in Pat's name to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or The Salvation Army.

Dear LeeAnn and Brad - so sorry to learn of Pat´s passing. For 9 years in the 70s and 80s my family lived one house away and a lot of us worked at the Farm. Your parents were wonderful and nice neighbors. When I was single in 1984/1985 Pat stopped me one day in the atrium and shared a couple of names that she thought would be good ladies for me to date. We had a great laugh on that exchange.
May God´s strength and support surround and comfort all of the family.

LeeAnn, Brad and families, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Pat was a wonderful lady. She will forever be perfect and after many years, is with your Dad again. As it should be! Bless you all as you deal with this and may you find peace and comfort knowing she is a beautiful angel.

I played golf with Pat on the ladies league years ago at The Links. She was always so pleasant to be around and had such a good sport attitude. My condolences for your loss.
