Paul Thrasher Obituary
July 25, 1940 - February 12, 2025
Paul D. Thrasher, born to Paul A. Thrasher and Eleanor I. (Irwin) Thrasher July 25, 1940, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Paul was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Thrasher, sister Bonnie Durbin, daughter Paula Thrasher-Poudzunas, and both parents. He is survived by three children, Pamela Thrasher Rouse of Greenview, Illinois, Paul A. Thrasher of Rochester, New York, and Patricia Thrasher King of Welsh, Louisiana, Grandchildren, Krystin Hill, Desiree Castles, Sierra Thrasher, and Taylor Thrasher, eight great grandchildren, as well as his niece Eleanor "Elly" (Durbin)Glenn and nephew William Durbin, both of Springfield, Illinois.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp as a young adult. As a long time resident in Springfield, Paul worked in the grocery industry. Life led him to Bloomington, Illinois, where he owned a grocery store and later was licensed to sell real estate. He made countless friends through his life and made a pleasant impact on so many.

I was his neighbor. The Harris family are saddened to hear the news of his passing. We sure missed him when he moved and his dog Bandit. Loved visiting with him while working in the yard. He was a wonderful man. Prayer to his family.
