December 9, 1952 - November 27, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Dale Lyons on November 27, 2024 at the Illiana VA Medical Center in Danville, IL., following complications with PLS.
Services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at St. Mary's Church in Westville, IL presided by Fr. David Whiteside (a longtime friend). Rosary will be at 10 a.m. followed by visitation from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Danville VA Cemetery at 1 p.m. with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the ALS Association and/or Wounded Warriors. Sunset Funeral Home's Urbas Chapel and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Please share fond memories and condolences with his family on his Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
