Denise was born in Inglewood, California on November 4, 1965 to Joseph and Linda Ward. Denise married Jim Burke on July 3, 2000 in Carmel, CA.
Survivors include her husband of thirteen years, Jim Burke; sons, Kenny (Sarah) Swain, Fletcher Pyle, and Cameron Burke; daughter, Kristi (Solomon Oubre) Swain; grandchildren, Lyrik Oubre and Harley-Quinn Oubre; mother, Linda Ellis and sister, Carrie Tait. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ward in 1991.
