Kathy Ann Pillow, 58, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021.

She was born Dec. 8, 1962, to Earl and Janetta Agee. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She loved her family, laughing, having fun, making big plans and finding a good deal while shopping. She had a heart of pure gold and was known for always being willing and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Kathy attended Lake Street Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and trusted in Jesus until the very end. Her faith was tested here on earth as she had a long hard battle with leukemia. During her cancer journey, she touched so many lives and was an inspiration to many. Her family is so proud of her fight and overjoyed for the healing she received in heaven and the reunion she got to have with her daughter, Anna Marie.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Anna Marie Pillow; and father-in-law, Joe Mack Pillow.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Jim Pillow; mother-in-law, Irene Pillow; daughters, Magan Hardin (Chris) and Whitney Murrell (Bruce Anthony); brothers, Jerry Agee (Rosie) and Terry Agee; sisters, Carol Hager (Bob), Sherry Holland (Jim) and Karen Davis (Allen); grandchildren, Hunter Murrell, Grason Murrell, Max Hardin and Caleb Hardin; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family received friends on Monday, Oct. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.

The funeral service is today, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Wayne Faulkner and Jody Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Jerry Agee, Terry Agee, Chris Hardin, Bruce Anthony Murrell, Hunter Murrell and Grason Murrell will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Max Hardin, Caleb Hardin, Jim Holland, Gary Baldwin, Allen Davis, Bob Hager, Keith Adams and Junior Baldwin.

The family would like to say thank to everyone for the many prayers that have been sent up for her and the whole family over the years. All prayers were felt and helped carry them through her journey. A special thanks to the St. Bernards Cancer Clinic and MD Anderson Leukemia Team for helping take such excellent care of her over the years!

If one wishes to make a lasting memorial, Kathy would be honored with a donation to St. Bernards Cancer Clinic.
