Frederick Martin Woerner, born in Allentown, PA on February 23, 1923 and entered into God's Kingdom on June 28, 2014. He served in CCC's for 6 months in 1940, and then joined the US Navy in July 1941 where he served in the Naval Air Corps during WWII as a Structural Metalsmith serving in the Pacific for 26 months and on the mainland through July 1947. He earned his BS in Business from OCU in 1951 then became a CPA in July 1966. He managed Industry Federal Credit Union, Houston, TX from Feb. 1956 - Feb. 1985. He served in several positions including President, Lector, and a Sunday school teacher at Sharon Lutheran Church in Pasadena, TX. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Zara; children, Suzanne Allison (Jim), Rosemary Aldrich (Dale), Virginia Meng, Melinda Hines (Bill), Frederick Woerner Jr. (Celita); sister, Ethel Balliet (Ken); 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by beloved daughter, Margaret Caldwell, brothers Charles and wife Marjorie, Kenneth and wife Vivian. Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2014 from 6PM to 8PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11AM at Peace Lutheran Church 6435 Fairmont Pkwy in Pasadena, TX. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
