Monroe "Monte" L. Bray, 55, of Houston, TX, lost his battle to lung cancer in his family home on Saturday, February 15, 2014.
Monroe is survived by his son Dustin Bray and fiancée Jennifer Bennett, brother Dr. James H. Bray Jr. and wife Elizabeth, sister Deborah Palagon and husband Andy, two step sons Travis and Ash Eells, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Monroe worked for his family business, Ascot, in Fire and Security Systems for over 25 years which led him to be a man of many trades. His passion was writing songs and playing music with friends and family. He shared his stories and travels through his music for everyone to enjoy. Monroe was always there to help someone in need and never backed down from any challenges that presented themselves. He always enjoyed life to its fullest and made sure to make the most of every part.
A Memorial will be held at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX, on February 27th from 4:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations made to Kent Finlay in Monte's name. http://jennifinlaypromotions.com/kentfinlaymedicalfund.htm

So sorry for your family loss. Your family is special in my memories from years long ago. It's seems like only yesterday we were kids. My dad was very PROUD that Monte was named after him and he had a special place in his heart for him. Just know that your in my prayers. May God Bless your family at this time of sorrow.
