Charles Bushong Obituary

BUSHONG -Charles Edward Bushong, born August 24, 1927 in Kingsport, TN, passed away April 29, 2003 in Arcadia, from congestive heart failure. He enlisted in the Navy March 3, 1944, was past Commander of American Legion Post 280 and a life member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #1053. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty of 56 years; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Jr., and Pam Bushong; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mickey Zivanovic; daughter, Betty Ann Bushong; grandchildren, John and Laura Bushong, Danielle Lane and Daniel and Bryan Zivanovic. Chuck loved to spend the summers in Coos Bay Oregon. He was an avid fisherman. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved the Lord and it comforts the family knowing he has gone home to be with his Father and will not have any pain suffering and tears. He will be loved and missed by all forever. He will be interred at the Bryan Family Cemetery in C atlettsburg, Kentucky. A time for friends to visit will be on Sunday, May 4, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 5 at 1:00 P.M. both at Douglass & Zook Colonial Chapel, Monrovia. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Chuck's name to the American Heart Association.
