It is always sad when such a well lived life by a soul fully engaged in enjoying the most from this human experience passes on. Yet his soul indeed, will continue to play music and remain close to those that loved and cherished him for all the wonderful gifts he shared of himself throughout his life.

With many and deepest heartfelt thoughts to the family, especially to long time dear friend, Sherlyn, Garrett and Julianne.

No words can express my deepest sadness & condolences. Hollis was a wonderful friend and advisor to me who I had the pleasure and honor of "talking stories" almost daily, for many years. My sincere sympathy to the family. Mahalo for the great memories, Doc. Aloha Oe.

Oh my, what a shock! Over the years, I have thought with a smile about Doctor Chang. He was a wonderful individual to work for and I have only happy memories of this kind man. I recall once going to his home only to find him in the back yard, planting yellow mums all along the side of the yard. Quietly a really nice person left this earth. My sincere condolences to his family.

Words cannot express the sadness that is felt. The way Hollis entertained us with his instrumental music and singing will live in our hearts and minds forever. We will miss his beautiful smile and words of wisdom on so many subjects. Whatever he did, he did with passion and precision. He is to be admired how he made time for a variety of hobbies at various times that included painting beautiful subjects , collecting pins during the LA Olympics, growing beautiful exotic plants,
knowing the stats of important sports events. etc etc. He also had time to spend with the friends of his sons and encouraged and entertained them.
How much we will miss him,but the impressions he made on so many of us live on.
Love and prayers for his wonderful family.
