John HAMIN Obituary
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of John Hamin, 74, of San Gabriel, CA on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruza Hamin; his two daughters Corina Weaver and Vernice McNutt, son-in-law's Scott Weaver and Kevin McNutt; five beautiful grandchildren- Brianna, Nicole, Gavin, Adam and Abigail; one brother George Hamin; one sister Marija Potocnjak and many nieces, nephews and relatives abroad.
Memorial Services will be conducted at St. Anthony's Croatian Catholic Church on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:30AM in Los Angeles. A graveside service will be held at the San Gabriel Cemetery at 2:00PM in San Gabriel, CA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The City of Hope, Duarte CA.
Born June 5, 1941, John was a long time resident of San Gabriel, emigrating from Croatia in the early 1950's. He married his one and only love from the same small town in Croatia and began a life together with his family in beautiful San Gabriel.
He established a successful Auto Body Shop in Pasadena, CA for over 45 years. Building a reputable business and his passion for cars was evident in the fine workmanship of every vehicle that left his shop.
In recent years, he retired and nothing brought him more peace and joy then spending time with his wife and family, with his 5 grandchildren holding a very special place in his heart. He will be missed dearly by all.
