Mr. Cash was a roll model of compassion, humanity, and giving. I came to the USA w/my family in 1975 as a refugee. I was 13 and sister was 15yrs old. Mr. Cash took the time to take us to school and drop us off at our house in Altadena almost everyday until the school year ended in 1976. Also showing, coaching, teaching us about John Muir HS and all that entailed. Even though at the time I didn't speak English very well, but, I could see he had a big heart, compassion, and love for humanity and beyond. He didn't realize it had made a big difference in my life. Those memories are w/me forever and I'm so grateful to Mr. Cash and his family. I just wanted to share my condolences and special thoughts.

Mr. Cash, was an amazing role model for all of us Mustangs. He was a calming presence, and one that we all respected. No one wanted to disappoint him! To the Cash family, thank you so much for sharing your Dad with us - his hundreds of "other kids". On behalf of the John Muir High School Class of '75 we're sending our love and strength your way. Sincerely, Natalie Salazar
