LeGrand Reeves Obituary

REEVES-LeGrand "J" Reeves, was born July 15, 1921 in Hurricane, UT to Eldon and Myrtle Reeves, LeGrand "J" Reeves passed away April 20, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. LeGrand served in the Navy during World War II. After the war he worked for General Motors, South Gate Plant, as the Fire Chief until he retired in 1980. H e also retired as a Captain from the Los Angles County Sheriff Reserves after 30 years. He served a mission to Peoria, IL for his church and worked as a volunteer in the Los Angles Temple for several years. He enjoyed growing beautiful orchids and roses. The lights in his life were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His grandchildren remember summer fishing trips to Yankee Meadow in Utah. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Dorothy May Reeves on March 28, 2008. They wer e married November 6, 1943. He is survived by his children Sandra Addington and Russell Reeves. Grandchildren Brian & Kelly Addington, Matt & Cari Zobrst, Scott & Joy Wilson, Steve & Laura Orme, Gabriel Reeves, Whitney Reeves and twelve great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. with services following at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the LDS Chapel, 150 W. Duarte Rd., Arcadia, CA.

Dad:

We sure did give it one hell of a try. You were one heck of a good Dad. You showed me so much. I just wish I could learn how to be more like the way you were. With my heart in my hand I say THANKS to you DAD, You are the best.
Dad you are now at the top of my best looking case ever, ever!
