Lorraine Houghton Obituary

HOUGHTON- Lorraine Archibald Houghton, was born January 6, 1919. She passed away March 27, 2011 peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her loving children Lindy Evans, Jim Houghton (Casey), Laurie Babb (Roger); grandchildren Jamie Evans, Katie Houghton, Molly, Hank and Mitch Evans. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Henry Archibald, first husband John E. Houghton, second husband Norman White, sister Margaret Ratcliffe and brother Robert Archibald. Lorraine and John were married for thirty-three years. He passed away in 1975. They raised their family in San Marino where they were active in the community. Lorraine volunteered for many years with Huntington Hospital Sequi Group, San Marino Garden Club and Meals on Wheels. In her later years, Lorraine and Norm enjoyed many travels and adventures. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's honor to USC Norris Cancer Center- Ron Ross Memorial Fund 1441 Eastlake Ave., #8302 Los Angeles, CA 90089 or Huntington Memorial Hospital 100 West California Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91105. Services will be Saturday, April 9, at 2:00 pm at Church of Our Saviour 601 W. Roses Rd. San Gabriel. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena Directors.
