Special Memories of my beloved son, Michael:
When he was about 2 years old, and his dad was overseas, during the Korean War, he was my little running partner. As he grew older,he became closer to his friends- i.e. When he started kindergarten, I would walk 10 blocks one way to school with him-walk 10 blocks back home-return to pick him up-10 blocks-and walk the 10 blocks from school to home. So, to assert himself, he would walk ahead of me so that the other children would not realize his mom was with him. I didn't feel bad, I knew how he felt, he felt "grown."
Another cute thing that I remember was whenever he wanted to talk about something special, he would come to the kitchen where I was, and sit-waiting for the right time to say or ask me whatever it was.
I'll miss hearing him hum as he filled his plate whenever I had fixed a special holiday dinner- I don't think he realized what he was doing.
In later life, he seemed to become more in-tuned to my facial expressions, or eyes to determine if he may have said something to hurt my feelings.
One endearing thing he would do and say, was to rub my arm and say,"Mom, you are always here," and say, "I love you back."
Mike, I miss you and our conversations.
Love,
Mom

My brother,Michael, never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone who crossed his path. He was a wealth of knowledge, and could expound on any subject brought to his attention. He was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed. I love you Michael,R.I.P.
