Charles Bellone Obituary

Charles (Chuck) Bellone Jr. May 19, 1928 - September 12, 2021 Our Uncle Charlie was born in Norwich, Connecticut to Emily Yeager and Charles Bellone Sr., immigrants from Switzerland and Italy. Charlie was predeceased by his parents; brothers Anthony and Bill; and sister Mary Burton. Charlie graduated from Norwich Free Academy; was a member of the U.S. Army before traveling to California where he earned a business degree at Santa Monica College. Charlie was a curious, ambitious, and inventive man. He established his business CB Enterprise where he patented a line of fire extinguishers for small aircraft and race cars. Charlie enjoyed traveling and most of all golf. Charlie's philanthropy was epic. He gave extensively to Loma Linda University Health an academic medical center with affiliate organizations all over the world. And to the Junior Blind of America whose mission is to help children and adults who are blind or visually impaired. Charlie is survived by his devoted nephew and friend Billy Bellone of Lawndale, CA; nieces Nancy Piscatelli of Norwich, CT, Linda Athanas of Charlotte, N.C., Annie Bellone of Griswold, CT, Sue Perna of Carrollton, VA, and Lori Bellone of Groton, CT; great nephews Matthew Piscatelli of CT, Vangel and Alex Athanas of N.C and Brian Reynolds of Texas; and great nieces Adrienne Athanas of N.C., and Jessica and Ari Bellone of CT. We will celebrate our uncle's life on October 2, 2021 from 3pm - 6pm at Hemet West Clubhouse, 5001 W. Ave., Hemet, CA. All are welcome.
