Evelyn Theresa Story-Deininger

EVELYN THERESA STORY-DEININGER "Terry" Story Deininger passed away in Alexandria, Virginia on June 30, 2007. She was 78 at the time of her death. Terry was born in New York City in 1929. She married Augustus Linton Story in 1948. The marriage ended in divorce in 1973 and Terry moved to California the same year. Terry began her 30 plus year career within the solid waste industry with CN Disposal, a Corona based trash company, as a Public Relations Manager. Soon thereafter, Western Waste Industries in Riverside County acquired the company. Terry was best known for her involvement in Corona and Norco; however, she also worked in San Bernardino County. Terry was very involved in her community and she served on the Corona and Norco Chambers of Commerce, the Northwest Mosquito Abatement Board and the Corona-Riverside Council of the United States Navy League. Terry has been a member of the Norco Lioness Club, the Corona Woman's Improvement Club as well as many other professional and service organizations. In 1989, Terry married Corona Councilman Dick Deininger, they were together until his death in January 2000. Terry was known for her generous nature, her fiery temperament and her wonderful hospitality. She was a "friend to many" and her tireless dedication to her work and her friends will surely be missed. She is survived by her sons, Paul L. Story of Alexandria, Virginia and Gregory D. Story of Corona and brothers William Tysol of Lakewood, CA and John Tysol of Temecula, CA. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, August 18th at 11:30 am at the Corona Woman's Improvement Club, 1101 South Main Street, in Corona. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Terry's name to either the Woman's Improvement Club of Corona P.O Box 188, Corona, CA 92878 or to The Navy League of the US, Corona Riverside Council, PO Box 573, Corona, CA 92878.
