Frank J. Rosamond Sr.

1930 - 2015

FRANK J. ROSAMOND, SR. 8-31-1930 to 10-18-2015 Frank Rosamond was born to the late Willie and Viola Rosamond in Shafter, Ca on August 31, 1930. In 1938 the family moved to San Jacinto where Frank became a life-time resident, graduating from San Jacinto High School in 1948. Soon after, he enlisted in the navy serving on the USS Stickell. He received the China Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, 5 Stars, and the Occupational Medal. After the Navy he worked for McSweeny Farms, the City of Hemet, Skyline Manufacturers, and retired from Sisk Auto Parts in 1992. He was a gifted guitar player that included rock and roll, popular, country, and classical music. One of his greatest joys was jamming with his son, Frank Jr. and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and in his earlier years, water skiing at Rosarita Beach with his family and friends. His favorite vacations were in Oregon visiting his daughter Rhonda and Brandon, spending the days fishing. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He will be in our hearts forever. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Rosamond; son Frank Rosamond, Jr. (Dana); daughters, Rhonda Meadows (Brandon Lewis), Rachel Rosamond; and step-daughter Debbie Trawick, all of Hemet; and step-son Larry Haislip (Dee) of Portland, Oregon. Grandchildren are Neil Rosamond, Haila and Lily Astorga (Rachel), all of Hemet; step-grandchildren Laurence and Cassandra Haislip, Amanda, Rebecca, and Michelle Trawick, and Randy Haislip of Florida. Frank is also survived by 2 sisters, Betty Maddox of Hemet, and Lola Kasperak of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by 2 step-sons, Randy and Gary Haislip. Our Family Wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Ramona Manor and Destiny Hospice for their compassionate and thoughtful care of our loved one. Final resting place is Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Ca.
