Gerry Sparks was one of the nicest ladies I worked with at what we called the "Little La Sierra Library" and then transitioned over to the current site. May God grant you peace and have fun on your bike.

Gerry will be missed! Not only was she a wonderful cook (she shared many treats with library staff) but she also had a fantastic sense of humor and a beautiful laugh and smile. Like many others I have several of Gerry's tried and true recipes in my box...making her corn casserole to go with dinner tonight, as a matter of fact. I wish all the best to her family at this difficult time.

Mrs. Sparks was an extraordinarily great cook. Every recipe, made by scratch, was a delicious morsel. Our family enjoyed going to her house on the 4th of July for a few years. She would amply supply us with fresh homemade cookies and goodies. Mrs. Sparks was hospitable, generous, and energetic. My recipe box has a couple of her recipes. She was willing to share her knowledge to help younger women. Robin, you've been through so much this summer; a daughter with no regrets because of the tender mercies you lavished upon your Mom. Our hearts and prayers are with you, Bill, Danny And Michael. May God grant you healing from the inside out.

Dear Bourbonnais/Sparks family--I know you are sad, but what a wonderful, long life your mother experienced. She raised you well--my thoughts and prayers are with you.
