Gertrude A. Christensen

GERTRUDE A. CHRISTENSEN Gertrude Ann Christensen was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on March 17, 1923 and passed away on April 21, 2012. She was raised in Detroit, Michigan. She was the oldest of five, having 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She lived most of her 67 years of marriage in Orange County, CA with the last 27 years of residence in Lake Elsinore/Wildomar. Gertie worked most of her adult years as a lab tech and credit clerk. Her last years of employment were spent assisting in the family business. In March 2011, she was preceded in death by her spouse of nearly 68 years, Donald C. Christensen. She is survived by 2 daughters and spouses, 4 grandchildren and spouses, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 21591 Lemon St., Wildomar, CA. Following the church service, she will be interred with her spouse at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518, in a family only service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gertie's memory to the Riverside National Cemetery.
