March 7, 1928 - September 6, 2021 Jose J. Monteon, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grand- father, passed away at his home in Norco, CA on September 6, 2021. Jose was born in La Barranca Del Oro, Nayarit, Mexico to Victorino and Maria Concepcion Monteon. Jose was married to Efigenia Carrillo on October 1, 1951. Soon after, they immigrated to the United States and eventually settling in Norco, California with their three sons and three daughters. Jose was a dairyman all his adult life. His favorite pastime would be to ride his horse around Norco. He enjoyed being in the local parades as a Charro. He was a member of the Federacion Nacional de Charros. Jose was preceded in death by Efigenia, his wife for 55 years. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Sue) Monteon, Maria (Danny) Ortiz, Patricia (George) Aguilar, Victor (Elaine) Monteon, Angelina Monteon, Raymond (Cheryl) Monteon. And also, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11am at St. Mels Roman Catholic Church, 4140 Corona Ave., Norco, CA 92860. Burial will be at 1pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

My husband and I extend our condolences to our wonderful friend, Patricia, George, and their family, on the passing of your father. I know all of you loved him very much, and he was a wonderful father to all of you. We pray that God's comfort will be with you, and all who will attend today's Celebration of his wonderful life. May it be a memorable and beautiful recollection of his life. Traveling mercies to all who come to the funeral services today. May there be peace, unity, and harmony, among everyone in attendance.
