Charles Thomas Stubbs, Jr, 69, of Pearland, passed away on November 8, 2017. Charlie was born on May 10, 1948 in Cameron, Texas and was an only child to Charles T. Stubbs and Mary Beth Cloud. He spent his younger years in Gause and Bryan, Texas graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan. He also attended DeKalb College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over his wide and varied career he held many positions-including Deputy Sherriff for Harris County Sheriff Department, Civil Inspector for Harris County and the City of Bryan, Texas before returning to Pearland, Texas where he worked for the City of Pearland for 17 years before retiring in May of 2011.
He accomplished many things in his life; but other than being a Father and Grandfather, he was proudest of achieving Master Mason in the Anson Jones Lodge #1416 in Friendswood, Texas in June of 2015. His interests and hobbies included Scuba instructor, Barber, BBQ King, Bowling, Fishing, Hunting, Football, Baseball, Dancing and having a good time with friends and family. He was a great Dad to his daughters and loved his grandkids very much.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Stubbs, his daughters Courtney Barajas (Erik), Tiffany Hazlewood (Mike), grandchildren, Gavin Barajas, Kole Barajas, Ava Hazlewood, and Baby Hazlewood (who is due to be born any day) and his niece Audrie McCourry.
He was a beloved friend to a host of extended-family, neighbors and friends that loved him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 North Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546, 281-992-7200.
