Kelly Johnson Obituary

Kelly Jumel Johnson, daughter of Mr. Robert Johnson and Mrs. Janette Burton Johnson, was born in the Bronx, New York, on May 1, 1989.
In 1992, Kelly's parents moved to Florence, South Carolina, to raise their growing family. As the eldest of four girls, Kelly embraced her role as a loving big sister. She attended elementary school in Darlington County, continued her education in Florence County, and graduated from West Florence High School in 2007.
Kelly briefly attended South Carolina State University before pursuing her entrepreneurial dream by opening Kelly's Kiddie Academy in 2010. She later earned an Associate's degree from Virginia Technical College and worked as a Pharmacy Technician for several years. For the past decade, she was employed with Assurant Group as a Senior Processing Specialist, where her dedication and work ethic were highly valued.
Kelly loved cooking, gaming, and watching action and thriller movies. Although she had no biological children, she wholeheartedly embraced the role of "adopted" auntie and mother to her beloved nephew, Kameron Dion James. Their bond was one of deep love and unwavering devotion-she was his auntie, tutor, disciplinarian, and loyal confidant. To Kelly, Kameron was her world, and she would have given him the moon, sun, and stars if he asked.
Affectionately known as "Boobakins," Kelly leaves her radiant smile and treasured memories with her parents; her three sisters, Katrina, Laura, and Crystal; and her nephews, Kameron Dion James and Justin Jiovanni Wilson. She also leaves behind her special bestie sisters, Allison and Jean; big brother confidant, Jarrell; her "adopted" niece, McKenzie; and "adopted" nephews, Ethan and Evan. Forever cherishing her memory are a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and the West Florence High School Class of 2007.
