Linda J. Meyer
MANITO - Linda J. Meyer 85, of Manito passed away at 7:50 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Hopedale Nursing Home.
She was born to John and Nonie (Rak) Zoril on December 24, 1935 in Pekin. She married Russell C. Meyer on June 6, 1953 in Manito. He passed away April 26, 2004.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Meyer.
Linda is survived by two sons, Scott Meyer of Columbia, IL, Steve (Kris) Meyer of Pekin; one daughter, Diane (Larry) VanDyke of Manito; one brother, John Zoril of Tacoma, WA; seven grandchildren, Kaitlin Barnett, Jeff Meyer, Blake Meyer, Brett Meyer, Brian Meyer, Bradley Meyer and Seth VanDyke; four great grandchildren, Kora Barnett, Jackson Barnett, Harper Meyer and Riley Meyer. She also leaves behind a special friend, Gordon Bauer of Topeka.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church of Manito, United Methodist Women and Peoria Sportsman's Club. Linda enjoyed playing Court Whist with her friends, gardening, arts and crafts, playing cards and working crossword puzzles.
Private services will be held Saturday. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Linda's arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Community United Methodist Church-Manito or Hopedale Medical Foundation.
