Bobby Cude Obituary

Longtime Soldotna resident, Bobby Ray Cude, age 63, went to Heaven on Monday, March 6, 2017 after a very hard but short battle with cancer. His loving family was at his side and holding his hands.

At his request, there will be no service. He wanted his family and close friends to celebrate his life with a dinner, which has been done to honor his wishes.

Bob was born on April 16, 1953 in Longview, Washington to Vern and Mary Lou Cude, though he moved at 6 months of age to Phoenix, Arizona, where he spent the majority of his life up until 1978 when he moved to Anchorage, Alaska.

He met his wife, Dixie, there and they moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1980 and were married in 1983. They returned to Alaska in 1987 and lived in Anchorage, Homer, Kenai and Soldotna over the years, with a break from 1997 to 2008 in Mesa, Arizona.
Bob was mostly self-employed through the years in a few different construction and plumbing businesses. Currently he and his wife own and operate Roto-Rooter, which will continue serving the Kenai Peninsula.

Bob loved his Lord, and his family, and went out of his way with his huge heart to help any and all he was able to.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge laugh and was always able to bring a smile to anyone that needed it. He had stories … oh my did he have stories.

The family wrote, "He leaves a huge hole in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all who have had the good fortune to know him."
He was preceded in death by his brother, Daryl Cude; his father, Vern Cude; his mother, Mary Lou Cude; his son, Chase Cude; and his father in-law, Gene Browning.

He is survived by his wife Dixie Cude; his son, Sean Cude; his daughter Kimberly Pierce; son in-law, Kyle Pierce; granddaughters, Bailey, Aubree and Airah Cude; grandsons Kameron and Konner Pierce all of Soldotna and Gavin Davis-Cude of Gilbert, Arizona; and his mother in-law Marion Browning of Homer, Alaska.

I will never forget this man. I did not know him in person, but I had a septic problem and he knew I did not have much money so he did it for free! You could not ask for a kinder person. My prayers are with the family!
