Joanne S Stull

1932 - 2025

Longtime Kenai resident Joanne S. Stull, 93, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25, 2025, at her home in Kenai.
A gathering of friends and family will be held most likely in February.  Details will be provided when the time and date have been set.
Joanne was born June 24, 1932, in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated from high school in Southern California.
She worked as a service manager for Service America, IBM, and the Salvation Army Women's Shelter.  After moving to Alaska in 1993, she worked for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, where she was the Kitchen Manager at Mountain View Elementary, retiring in 2010.
Joanne was a member of Trinity Christian Center and loved her dogs, reading, collecting stuffed teddy bears and camping in the RV.
Her daughter wrote, "My mom was the hardest working person I have ever known. She didn't know the meaning of the words "sick days." She began working on the farm when she was 10 years old and didn't quit working until retiring at the age of 78. She was a strong, independent, and determined woman. My mom devoted her life to making sure all of my needs were met. I love you, Mom. Rest in peace sweet girl."
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Willis "Von" Stull and her mother, Dinise (Wagner) Medlen.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Alison Sawyer (Michael) of Sterling; sons, David McClure (Annette) of Wasilla and Grant McClure (Dea) of Kenai; grandchildren, Sean, Brandon, Krystal and Cassandra McClure, and Rane, Torrey, Casey Alexa, Samuel and Sallee McClure; and 18 great-grandchildren.
