Joseph Carlough Obituary
Josie spent his life working in the fishing, boating and cannery industry throughout Alaska, captaining boats into his 80s.
Josie is survived by Barbara, his wife of 48 years, brother Howard Carlough sons Billy, Scott, Jason and Luke Carlough, Jess "Zolar" Cooley of Sterling, grandchildren Jessica, Kristi and Michael Carlough, Sarah Rigby, Bobby Berg and Owen Gruber, and eight great grandchildren.
Josie is preceded in death by his son, "Little" Joe Carlough, his parents, siblings Billy, James, and Patrick Carlough, sisters Elsie Marrs and Louise Kaye.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, at the Outside Beach in Seldovia from noon to 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Captain Joseph "Josie" Carlough scholarship fund through The CIRI Foundation, 3201 "C" Street, Suite 506, Anchorage, Alaska 99503.
