Margaret "Maggie" Dolchok

1923 - 2012

Lifelong Kenai Native Margaret "Maggie" Dolchok, 88, died Tuesday, Mar. 13, 2012, at Heritage Place in Soldotna.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 20, at Holy Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Kenai. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Father Thomas Andrew will officiate. A potluck will follow the burial at Tyotka's in Old Town Kenai.
Maggie was born Aug. 12, 1923 in Kenai. She was a member of the Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church.
She enjoyed berry picking, watching birds that visited her bird feeders, camping, fishing, crossword puzzles and reading. She also made sure to keep the squirrels away from her bird feeders.
"Maggie was loved by all who knew her. She lived a full life and was a woman of integrity. Maggie was dedicated to her family and faithful to her church. She will be missed." Her family said.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Dolchok and sons, Alec and Ralph Wik.
Maggie is survived by her daughters, Gloria Wik of Kenai, Emily Marrs and companion, David Baker of Anchorage, Evelyn Huf and husband, Rusty of Kenai; son, Eric Wik of Kenai; grandchildren, Emil Marrs and Crystal Harrison both of Anchorage, Samantha and Christa Huf, both of Kenai, Gabe Juliussen of Kenai, Ralph Wik Jr. of Spokane, Wash., Sherian Soares of Kenai, Darlene Beasley and Charlene Gibbs, both of Anchorage, Wanda Reams of Soldotna, Alec Wik III of Anchorage and Myra Cook of Marietta, Ga.; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marie Decker of Clifton, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Mack Dolchok of Atoka, Okla.; and longtime family friend, Roberta Ivanoff of Kenai.
