Wayne Carroll Obituary
Wayne Carroll passed away peacefully on February 18,2025 in Nikiski Alaska with his wife Maxine by his side.
Wayne was born in Taft Ca and was raised in nearby Bakersfield CA. From a young age Wayne was involved in many scholastic activities and his love of music led Wayne to become an accomplished drummer who played with several local bands. Following high school Wayne worked for a local veterinarian as well as a local butcher.
In the early sixties Wayne went to work for Shell Oil, beginning a career that was to span decades.
This occupation saw Wayne spend significant time in California, Colorado, Montana and his beloved Alaska.
Wayne was most proud, and rightfully so of the integral part he played in the construction of several oil platforms located in the cook inlet. Wayne was studious and demonstrated a great amount of energy to detail for the majority of his life. But those who knew him and loved him most would lovingly call him "anal".
It cannot be understated that Wayne was a caring man devoting a good deal of his life to helping others. He was a lover of life, and his presence will be missed by friends and family alike.
Wayne is survived by his two daughters from his first marriage Darrilyn and Juli, his wife Maxine of many years, several stepchildren, and his beloved grandchildren from California and Alaska.
Wayne was proceeded in death by his Parents Jack and Iren and his younger sister Charlene.

Maxine, and all,
I am very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing.
I knew and worked with him for more than 25 years for Shell, both in Alaska and Colorado. After our retirements, I often saw him about Kenai and we always had some good stories to tell.. He will be missed.
