I came into the family in 1960 by marrying his younger brother Jon. Jon always looked up to Don and enjoyed many of the same activities, bow and arrow hunting and fishing. I will remember Don as a wonderful host when Jon and I visited, and also the stories he told at the family reunions. He was well loved.

Uncle Don alway took deliberate time to connect with me at our BIG family gatherings. His smile and deep, genuine hug always gave me calm, safety and love. We have a deep connection that I am confident will continue. I will pass on your example of acceptance and love to those who can get lost in the shuffle. I am thankful to have had the fortune of having Don as my uncle. Peace to Dear Uncle Don.
