Donald McCammant Obituary

Donald Ray McCammant was born July 2, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa and passed away on February 25, 2021 in Seattle, WA. He was 82 years old. Don and his twin sister Doris were adopted by Mabel McCammant. He also had an older brother Leon. The family moved to Seattle, WA. When old enough Don went to work with the Merchant Marines and traveled the world. He returned to Washington and worked in road construction. Don retired to Sequim. He met Diana Lundberg and they married on October 14, 2000. Don is survived by his wife Diana, sister Doris (Jerry) Falk, nephew Tad Falk, brother Leon, and extended family members.

A perfect scenario of Don in his later years would be of him on a Saturday morning driving through Sequim in his white 1981 Chevrolet El Camino listening to a Mariners game. He would stop at every yard sale he could find. Don would fill his car with his favorite things such as a big flat screen TV, exercise equipment, watches, sweatshirts, jigsaw puzzles, lawn ornaments, and anything else that struck his fancy until the car was full. Then he would head home with a big smile on his face wondering about what next weekend would bring!

There will be no memorial service for Don. He is interred at the Washington Memorial Park in SeaTac, WA. Don's family would like to gratefully thank the Sequim Fire Department, Clallam County Fire District #3 volunteers and Harborview Medical staff for their dedicated service. God bless you all.
