Born in Everett, WA to George and Gladys Bachelder. Everett High '57; BA Seattle University '61; MA San Francisco Theological Seminary '87. Married Richard Charles Riel, 1962. Raised four children in Kent, retired to Brinnon, WA. Worked 22 years w/Catholic Community Services King County; Founder/Chair of Community Outreach Association Shelter Team (COAST) in Jefferson County for 20 years.
