Joe was a businessman and she was his right hand. He persuaded her to dress up as his Christmas elf and he in his Santa suit would deliver Christmas packages to friends and clients. She also did some retail work for different places in town. Later in life she discovered she loved traveling and took many trips to Arizona, California and Hawaii. Her family enjoyed cruises and trips to Europe with her.
When her health made it difficult for her, Eric invited her to come live with him and Angie in Jacksonville. She moved to Florida in 2021. She was visited by family and friends during her last few months while Eric and Angie cared for her in their home.
