Kent Welborn Obituary
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, beginning at 2:00 pm at Sequim Community Church with Rev. Rick Dietzman officiating.
Kent was a radio announcer most of his life and also loved acting. When he found out there was a local radio station in Sequim, he was eager to get involved. He produced the Daily Almanac and Juke Box Jam programs. You can still hear both programs as they were pre-recorded and KSQM still plays them to this day. He acted in a number of community theater productions in the Tri Cities area as well as Port Angeles. He was passionate about hoping to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Parkinson's Disease Research and/or Michael J. Fox Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

I had the privilege of working with Kent at KSQM. Kent was a pure professional and there has never been a better broadcaster at that radio station. To this day you can still hear Kent's voice at 91.5 on per-recorded shows featuring music and memories.I will never forget Kent Welborn

In the early days of KSQM I had the 7 - 9am show called Mark in the Morning. I learned so much from Kent who I will always remember as the greatest broadcaster of all time. He was a mentor for many who sat at the microphone. I think of Kent often especially when I hear his per-recorded daily almanac.
