Neal Lanctot Obituary
Military service at Tahoma National Cemetery
Neal was the second child born to F.A. Lanctot & Margaret Gervase Lanctot. The Lanctot's moved from Port Angeles in 1943 to live in Rainier Valley, later Beacon Hill where 3 more siblings completed their family of 6 children.
Neal graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 1955. He then studied at theologian school. Neal served in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. He flew helicopters and was a part of rescue and recovery during his time of service.
Later Neal and Mechelle met, she had 2 small children from her first marriage and later they had 2 more children. Neal and Mechelle celebrated their 50th anniversary February 9, 2024.
Neal was a quiet man with a tender heart. He loved and enjoyed his family for many years. In his later years he would say ""I'm ready to go home"". Going home would be soon after Mechelle's passing on April 18, 2024, Neal's 87th birthday. She said ""goodbye, to be reunited in Heaven"". They were reunited six weeks later.
Neal is survived by 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 siblings and many cousins who loved him dearly.
Neal is preceded in death by his parents, son, older sister and his wife. Many memories of family being together.
