Patti L. Filion

1953 - 2025

Patti Filion, a former resident of Port Angeles, was born January 17, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert E. Sharrett and Ruby D. Sharrett. Patti passed away peacefully December 9 at the Woodland Care Center in Woodland Washington after a long struggle with MS and a recent battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 72.

Pat will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family, her love of pets, decorating for the holidays, arts and crafts, camping, trout fishing in the local lakes, cooking, and was known to occasionally drop a dollar or two in a slot machine while enjoying her favorite beverage, southern comfort and 7-Up.

Pat operated a child care business in her home for many years. Pat and her husband of 49 years, Kenneth, spent much of their leisure time, in their younger years, packing up their small tent trailer and taking the family camping up the Elwah valley or out to the west end. They also traveled to eastern Washington one or two weeks each summer with a fully loaded car, camper, and a car top thrown in for good measure. Good old Margaret, as the 1974 Plymouth family car was known, was always up to the task and never scorched a piston or blew a head gasket despite the desert heat. Many great memories were created.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Candice, son Jason, brother Steven Sharrett of Dayton, OH and brother-in-law Gary Filion. She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Shawna Filion, son Justin Filion (Amy), sister Sandi Wilhelm Scott (Jeff), brother-in-law Randy Filion, sister-in-law Dr Diane Filion (Joan), and sister-in-law Lucy Filion. Surviving grandchildren are Tadd Ewing (Sami), Katrina O'Connor (Brandon), Jordan Tachell, Isabella, Zoe, and Scarlette Filion. Pat is also survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Per her request, no services are planned. A celebration of life will be scheduled for later next spring.
