Jackie: It was truely a blessing to see and listen to the wonderful things your children said about their father on Saturday. That was the best celebration of life I have ever attended. We will keep in touch.

Angie & Heidi,
I remember going to your house and your dad was always so friendly and kind. He had absolutely no problem showing his pride in and love for his kids. I always thought, "Wow, Angie's dad is so outgoing and interested in his kids--he actually talks to their friends and tries to get to know them!" It was a very positive experience for me to be around your folks. I know you probably miss him terribly. What a good life he had--and what a wonderful job he and your mom did of bringing up kind-hearted, intelligent kids. My best to you and your families.

To my departed father in law, and fellow Paratrooper... I've never missed anyone, friend or family, as much as I miss you, and will miss you, for a very long time...There are no words that can adequately express the pain inside...Someone once said: "Paratroopers never die...We just go to Heaven, and Regroup". Until we meet again, brother... AIRBORNE!

I had the pleasure of being Bob's barber for many years. I always had such great conversations with him, often sitting and talking after the haircut was finished. Being such a sincere and nice man, I always looked forward his visit to my shop. My heartfelt condolences to the family.
