Sherrie Riggs

Sherrie Baird Riggs passed away suddenly on June 22, 2022 in Port Angeles, WA. at the age of 76.
She was born in Cedar City, Utah to Arden and Colleen Baird. Growing up in Orderville Utah, Sherrie met Lon Riggs in neighboring Kanab and they were married March 22, 1967 in a small ceremony.
After living in Seattle while Lon attended Dental school, then to Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam war, Sherrie and Lon settled into Port Angeles life in 1972 where they started his dental practice and their small family. After many years of working in various capacities she had enjoyed retirement since 2016.

Sherrie was involved for many years with Naval Elks Lodge 353 holding many positions, serving as the Emblem Club President, the club Manager and Secretary. She was also involved with Clallam County Derby Days royalty helping the young ladies prepare for the pageantry, she also worked at the Toggery clothing store, and at the dental office doing the books. Sherrie was a multi-talented manager and homemaker that was respected and adored by many for her candor and thoughtfulness in everything she did.
Most importantly she was a loving Mother to her 3 children and wife of 55 years to Lon. To say that she will be greatly missed would be an understatement. She has touched the lives of so many and
asked for very little in return. She valued the numerous friends she'd made over the years in Port Angeles and the impact of her passing will be felt by many for quite some time.

Sherrie is survived by her husband Lon Will Riggs, daughter Natalie Riggs Beck, sons Ron and Steve. Shoona Riggs, (daughter in law), Keith Beck (son in law), Miki James (daughter in law). Grandsons Ben Riggs and Cade Barker, Granddaughters Anna Riggs and Carly Riggs.
She is also survived by her mother Colleen Baird, sisters MaryLee Smith (Lamont Smith), CarolLynn Ramsey (Nick Ramsey), Marlene Roundy (Larell Roundy), Kathryn Mitchell (Jeff Mitchell), her brothers Donald Baird (Deonne Baird) and Robert Baird (Kelley Baird) and many nieces and nephews from Utah.
