Wanda Sindars Obituary
Wanda Sindars, born in Port Angeles, Washington on October 13, 1933 to George Luttrell and Leonora (Petosa) Luttrell.
She passed onward to a place of comfort that knows no pain, a place of eternal Love on October 17, 2025 at the age of 92, to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
In 2002, Wanda was preceded in death, by her husband and high school sweet heart Robert Sindars, they were married 51 years till death do they part. They shall be united again and what a glorious day it shall be.
Wanda and Robert lost their only Grand Child Michael Sindars on June 27, 2001 on his grandfather Robert Sindars' birthday.
Wanda is also preceded in death by her eldest sister Vanalta Marie (Luttrell) Burford, of Port Angeles, Washington. Wanda was especially close with her sister Vanalta that was very supportive of Wanda, and protective of all her younger siblings. Wanda, was also preceded in death by her younger sibling and only brother, James Pasco Luttrell of Concrete, Washington
Wanda and Robert are survived by their three sons Rick, Robin and Rocky all of Port Angeles. There were times that Wanda would go through the entire list of "R's" when attempting to call for one or more of them to assist her.
Wanda is also survived by her younger sister and last remaining sibling Vicki (Luttrell) Eddy of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her totally spoiled and adorable cat Miss Fur Ball.
Wanda dearly Loved her nieces and nephews, several generations of them, Botts, Luttrell, McGinley, Rutz and Thompson that have multiplied to the point that it's hard to keep tract of the number of them. Some of her nieces and nephews still live in Port Angeles.
Her nephew David Botts and his wife Terri were a Godsend to their Aunt Wanda in so many ways it would be hard to list all of them. Terri Botts saved Aunt Wanda thousands of dollars every year on the prescription drug plan that she got her enrolled in. And Terri often baked Aunt Wanda banana bread and much more.
Wanda's husband Robert Sindars is a descendant of some of Sequim and Dungeness Valley early pioneers. Robert's Great Grandfather arrived in Port Discovery in 1871, which is now called Discovery Bay. And shortly thereafter the family settled on the prairie, on what is now called the Simdars Road on the East side of Sequim.
Robert's father Guy Sindars was Joyce Simdars first cousin. Joyce Simdars was the wife of Joe Rantz, most notably in the epic story of "The Boys in The Boat."
Wanda's husband Robert had a reputation as a prolific steelhead fisherman, yet Wanda would out fish him on the Quillayute River. Wanda caught a steelhead over 19-pounds on the Quillayute River while fishing with her husband Robert, and the very next day caught a second steelhead over 19-pounds on the same river.
Wanda and Robert did a considerable amount of traveling together, and when their sons were younger they traveled with them. In all their traveling the family has long known there's no place like home in Port Angeles, and that God indeed put a very special touch on the Olympic Peninsula. It truly is God's country and well deserving of that title.
Your deep dish wild blackberry cobblers were the best Mother and so are you. Mother, Dad and Michael your sons will see you in Heaven, Love You Forever.
If you would like to donate something in Wanda's name, the family asks that you please donate to Hospice of Clallam County. Thank you and may God Bless You.
